Current whentools.com services do not require an account, signup, or personal information to access or use. Information that may be processed during normal web operation is described below.
The web server that hosts whentools.com processes standard HTTP request metadata, including IP address, user agent string, and request timestamp, as part of normal web operation. This metadata is not used by whentools.com for advertising, marketing, or building user profiles. Server logs may be retained by the hosting platform according to its own policies, and may be reviewed by whentools.com for security or operational purposes.
Content created or processed within whentools.com services is handled locally in the user's browser. For Sierra Writes, document content is typically saved within the user's browser storage using the Web Storage API (localStorage). For Sierra PDF Organizer, uploaded PDF files are processed within the browser session and are not retained after the browser tab is closed. Under normal operation, the applications are designed not to transmit user content to whentools.com servers. Users should be aware that browser features such as device synchronization, if enabled in their browser settings, may replicate browser storage according to the browser vendor's own behavior, independent of whentools.com.
For services that offer file processing or export functionality, these operations are designed to be performed within the user's browser using client-side libraries. In Sierra Writes, PDF export is designed to operate on the user's device without transmitting content to whentools.com servers. In Sierra PDF Organizer, PDF merging, splitting, and rearranging are designed to operate entirely within the user's browser, with no upload of PDF content to whentools.com servers.
The whentools.com application code is currently designed to operate without cookies, tracking pixels, analytics scripts, session recording, or browser fingerprinting. The application aims to minimize third-party script loading during normal operation. Users may inspect network activity through their browser's developer tools to observe current behavior. Users should also refer to the Hosting section regarding platform-level behavior, which is outside the application's control.
whentools.com is currently hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a third-party platform operated by Cloudflare, Inc. Hosting platforms may apply their own analytics, error reporting, security measures, or edge-level processing at the infrastructure level, independent of whentools.com services themselves. The specific data practices of the hosting platform are governed by Cloudflare's own policies, available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. whentools.com may change hosting providers in the future. Material changes affecting this Privacy Policy may be reflected by updates to this document over time.
whentools.com does not currently sell or rent user data. The application is designed so that no personal data is intentionally shared with third parties for marketing, advertising, or analytics purposes. whentools.com may be required to disclose information in response to lawful legal requests or to protect the safety of users or the public.
